Issue #2 Is Here! New Campaign Reveal!

Now we have copies of Kolchak Meets the Classic Monsters #2 - "Kolchak Meets Frankenstein" by Steve Niles. Man, they look good. I really love the purple and black.
Cover by Russ Braun, design by TomNapolitano. Interior art by GeorgeQuadros, with colors by ZacAtkinson.
So that's two out of three issue done and printed. Issue #3 is being illustrated now. I should have art to show soon. We're almost there!
I'm hoping to have everything printed and ready to ship by October.
I think there was some confusion with the last update. Kolchak Eras is a different book than Kolchak Meets the Classic Monsters.

Here is the first cover reveal for MONSTROUS: THE KAIJU ISSUE, featuring my brand-new character MEGASQUATCH — that's right we turned Sasquatch into a Kaiju. Bigfoot isn't hiding anymore—and he's bigger than ever and angry.
Fangoria has the details on the issue, which is so packed that they'll be a second announcement with the rest of what's in store.
We also have a limited-editon Godzilla cover. (Text to come)
Plus, the magazine is getting embiggened and will now be 8.5 x 11 inches. It will contain several comics, a prose short story by GregCox (who did several Godzilla novelizations), as well as articles about kaiju and, of course, the King of the Monsters, Godzilla, who's getting his own cover.

I'm supposed to received the expedited copies of Issue #2 - Kolchak Meets Frankenstein on Thursday.
And even more awesome news — the script for Issue #3 -Kolchak Meets Dracula, the final piece to the puzzle, has been turned in and the artist is working on it. If everything goes according to plan, we should be finished with all the artwork by the middle of September, which is when we'll send Issue #3 and the collection to the printer — and the rest of fulfillment will begin.
My story, Kolchak Meets Konga (exclusively available in the Kolchak Meets the Classic Monsters harcover collection), has also been finished. Here's one of my favorite panels by Zac Atkinson. How will Vincenzo deny this monster?

I recently signed a contract to license another horror TV show. I can't say what it is now, but it's our biggest license yet. I should be making the announcement in the next few months.
And we're very close to launching our Kaiju project. I can reveal that it is a very special issue of MONSTROUS magazine — and it's going to be packed as well as a full-size magazine.

Through the surveys, you'll be able to pick up Lukas Ketner's cover for Issue #1. I'm charging only $6 with no additional shipping. This is the lowest price for this cover you'll ever see, and only backers can get it at this price.
Issues #1 and #2 are at the printer now, and I hope to have copies in a few weeks. Issue #3 is little behind, but we should have that finished in a month or two.
I'd love to deliver your rewards as soon as possible, so if anyone is interested in having everything but Issue #3 and the Hardcover Collection sent to them next month, comment below. I would need to charge $5 for shipping. I can't afford to send everyone's rewards in two shipments. Our original estimated delivery date was for Decemeber 2025 and we're still on target to achieve that.

I have some very exciting news! I just got the first copies of the Kolchak Eraspaperback. They look fantastic!
Each of the 13 stories comes with illustrations and, I think, you're going to love it.

The campaign for DARKEST DEPTHS, an extreme horror graphic novel anthology, ends tomorrow night. We're just a few hundred bucks away from adding a second bonus story, which would make a total of 7 stories.

We are making progess! Sorry for not updating you sooner but I was waiting on a few things.
Bear in mind that this is a huge project — which includes 3 individual comics, a graphic novel collection, and a prose anthology. But we're still on target to deliver everything by the fall. Some rewards will come sooner.
ISSUE #2 PROOFS
Proofs for Issue #2 Kolchak Meets Frankenstein are here. They look great, but I'm probably going to tweak the cover and title it KOLCHAK MEETS THE CLASSIC MONSTERS #2.

VARIANT ISSUE #1 COVER
Lukas Ketner, who's doing the interior art for David Dastmalchian's Kolchak - Werewolf / Count Crowley comic, was kind enough to do a variant cover for the issue. Here's a look at an early draft. You'll be able to add this through your BackerKit survey. Once the cover is done, I'll send out the surveys. Hopefully, that will happen in the next few weeks.
I'll also send out T-shirts once the surveys are filled out.
I launched a Kickstarter for DARKEST DEPTHS, a horror anthology graphic novel.
If you back this campaign, let me know, and I'll pick 4 people to win a copy of the limited proof of Kolchak Meets Frankenstein, which I'll send to you next month.
This campaign is a bit personal as it was supposed to launch about two years ago, along with Taylor Grant (horror writer and head of WebToon's animation studio) and Crystal Lake Publishing as my partners.
At the time, Taylor was recovering from cancer, but as we were preparing to launch, he had gotten sick again and had to drop out of the project. We hoped he'd recover and that we'd be able to launch the campaign with him. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Taylor passed away in September.
Taylor had been a great mentor to me and we were planning on working together on several other projects. It was really hard to hear of his passing and disappointing that we were unable to launch this project while he was still around. I know how much he loved comics.
Shortly before his passing, we discussed using the project to raise funds for his medical bills and Taylor gave his approval.
Now, we'll be giving profits from the Kickstarter campaign to his son Zane.
Taylor believed in helping others and DARKEST DEPTHS will continue his legacy of mentorship by giving writers the opportunity to break into the comic book industry. Following the campaign, submissions will open for additional stories, the number depending on the campaign’s final funding level. It is our hope that the DARKEST DEPTHS series will be the launching pad for many aspiring comic book writers. Info on submissions is on the campaign page.
